Customers

Customers are the end users of your business. By onboarding your customers with Sphere through the Customers API, you can enable smooth transfers of funds between SphereNet accounts, stablecoins, or fiat currencies. All KYC and KYB checks are managed by Sphere so you can securely move funds, knowing that Sphere has properly vetted your users in compliance with legal requirements.

When you register a new customer with Sphere, they must agree to our terms of service, and we must collect key information such as:

  • Name and email
  • Unique identifiers (SSN for individuals, EIN/TIN for businesses)
  • Required KYC/KYB documentation

This information allows Sphere to properly verify and approve the customer before initiating any transactions. If additional information is needed to complete KYC/KYB, we will provide precise details about what is required.

You can also use the Terms of Service API to allow your customers to accept or reaccept Sphere's terms of service without initiating KYC/KYB.
