Custom Auditors
SphereNet allows accounts to designate custom auditors who can decrypt and monitor their transaction activity. This enables institutions to implement their own compliance monitoring while preserving privacy for non-audited transactions.
Adding Custom Auditors
Custom auditors can be added on a per-account basis. Each account can designate specific auditors who will receive decryption capabilities for that account's transactions. When an account designates an auditor, all future transactions involving that account will include encrypted data that only the designated auditor can decrypt.
This account-level approach provides significant flexibility in auditor management. Each account maintains independent control over choosing its own auditors. The system allows different accounts to designate different auditors based on their specific needs. Any changes made to one account's auditor settings remain isolated and don't affect other accounts in the network.
Key Features
- Accounts can designate multiple auditors
- Auditors only see transactions for accounts they monitor
- Decryption rights can be revoked at any time
- Auditing is transparent - accounts know who can audit them
- Custom auditors complement Sphere's global compliance monitoring
Custom auditors enable flexible compliance monitoring while maintaining SphereNet's core privacy guarantees. This allows institutions to implement oversight appropriate for their regulatory requirements.
